It is scrambled Latin from Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum, written in 45 BC. The text is in the public domain, so you can use it anywhere.
Why use placeholder text?
It fills a layout with text of a natural length and shape, so people judge the design rather than read the words.
What does the HTML option do?
It wraps each paragraph in <p> and </p> tags, ready to paste into a web page or a template.
Is the text the same every time?
