Questions
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is traced inside your browser, and it never leaves your device.
Will the SVG look exactly like my image?
No. The SVG is traced from the pixels, so it is an approximation. Edges and small details can differ, and a photo becomes flat areas of colour. A logo with a few flat colours traces best.
How many colours should I choose?
As many as your image has. A two-colour logo traces cleanly at 2, while a photo needs 16 or more, which makes a larger file.
What does smoothing do?
Higher smoothing draws simpler, rounder shapes and drops the smallest specks. Lower smoothing follows the pixels more closely.
